After watching several Leonardo DiCaprio films over the past few weeks, a common question is often formulated by his role in the films. It does not question what is real, whether or not there is a God, nor the validity of the deep workings of society. It touches on another realm of reality. The state in which we would rather live.
Would you rather be present and aware of what is truly happening around you and to yourself? Or would you rather live happily in an unreal world that you perceive as real?
One can virtually reduce the question to, would you happily live in a lie, or be present in an unhappy truth? Each of our own perceptions and experiences will determine our individual answers, for there is neither a correct nor incorrect answer. Just merely a preference. Perceive your preference.
