Stress Reducer

Often we find ourselves stressed over the amount of "things" going on in our life. It may not actually be as much as it seems. Here is a way to find out how much we actually have to do and also organize at the same time; just a tip... when you think of something that must be done or something that worries you, write it down on a piece of paper. Use the same paper for all of the things that pop into your mind. Now you will have a "to-do" list while also organizing your stress level by knowing the goals you must accomplish.

Facebook

I'm sure everyone has heard of the up and coming Facebook layout.... Dos Columns!!!!! Although many may be opposed to the new variation, let us look upon it in another way. It is a change. People don't usually like change. But instead of beating it down before you even see it, give it a chance. Some of the best things in life come from change! Appreciate the normalities of life and treasure the new and changing aspects of it. You never know, it could be the next best thing.

Life-long Thought

As I move through the first few weeks of college, I have come to a realization about a common aspect of many people's lives, including my own. Before, as a high school student and younger, family was just something that was always around, always a guaranteed aspect of life. Often it was just something that I didn't appreciate or pause to respect and enjoy; just another thing that could get on my nerves or stress me out. As I move on towards another stage in life, I realize my mistake. Family time is scarce relative to life-span, and one should appreciate the time he/she is able to spend with family members. Point in case, regardless of the condition of the relationship with mother, father, etc. make sure to spend time with and enjoy the time you are able to spend with them. If the relationship is fractured or fragile, try to repair it, it is definitely worth it in the long run.... because one day, it might be too late.

General Rule of Thought

Don't light a fire if you like the snow. Just a general thought about the way you interact with others. Snow represents the calm and serenity of peace prior to confrontation. Fire is obviously the confrontation or conflicting actions you take that melt the snow. Don't light the fire if you like the snow.

Food for Thought 2

Feed your soul like you feed your body. You wouldn't eat all your fruits and vegetables for the month in one sitting, and you wouldn't skip out on your fruits and vegetables for the entire month; otherwise you would be unhealthy and have physical issues due to lack of necessary nutrients and vitamins from those foods. The same applies with your soul and overall content in life. Binging for one day on prayer or faith or belief along with skipping out on it entirely is not healthy for the soul and could cause multiple problems in life. So feed your body and soul moderately but consistently to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Food for Thought

If Democrats are considered "the poor man's party" and Republicans "the rich man's party", why would Democrats try to make the poor richer? According to logic that would only lose votes for the party since the poor are now rich and voting for Republicans. Just food for thought.

Pondering

Is the flying squirrel foolish for making a leap to a branch with unknown strength? Or is it merely logical for believing in its own intuition and gut feeling of the unknown? Should we act as the flying squirrel in certain aspects of life and take that leap of faith?
