Unexplainable

Just some simple words to express the obvious. From experiences the past 7 months of life, I have rediscovered a simple truth of life. The feeling of fulfillment does not occur from activities related to unattached sex, alcohol, or selfish pleasures. Although it may provide a rush that can be intoxicating in an extensive number of ways, these activities and the feelings they provide are not sustainable.

Weekends spent skipping shenanigans and spent dedicating time to family relationships, long lost friendships, and community assistance have been the most rewarding and memorable from my experiences. This simple knowledge has revitalized my emotional state and outlook to the future. I encourage all to dedicate their time to these alternative selfless activities rather than the ones that seem to present themselves so often and in such a tempting manner.

Good day all.

Out of the Shell

What is life worth if we do not experience it to our fullest potential. It is at your discretion to decide what experience life at its fullest potential is. I write this in recent events in my life that have forced me to come out of my shell, and get out extremely vast comfort zone. It is not often I am uncomfortable with something, but my recent assignment of 'interesting' dancing in front of a crowd of more than 5,000 has challenged that proposition.

In general, this experience has forced me to forget about minute things such as self image and pride in order to enjoy and embrace the goofy side of life. My lessons are; do not fret at the small things, as they do not matter in the long run, do things you normally do not do (reasonably), as these things are often your fondest memories, and try to limit yourself to saying no to opportunities.
